On the majority of dispatch floors in the United Arab Emirates, the use of standard cartons is commonplace. Cartons are required to open quickly, have mixed loads, close with tape and be able to move from one place to another without needing to be reworked.

To meet these requirements, Boxpool LLP produces and exports traditional corrugated boxes with slotting and scoring lines designed to speed up the process of packing at the packing stations.

The combination of boards used to create a carton is determined after evaluating the weight of the product, the stacking pattern of the carton, and the movement of the vehicle to/from Dubai to Abdul-Abad to Shahr-Jak.

The design of the carton will provide panel alignment to ensure the rows of pallets are aligned and the weight of the compression load is evenly distributed.

The flute design will provide the basic cushioning required for general distribution (with no additional weight) while allowing the ability for the surface of the carton to accept labels and stamping, as well as strapping, in one pass.

Cartons are manufactured to common freight footprint sizes to reduce the number of voids and therefore the amount of tape used in the shipment.

All cartons are provided to the warehouse in a flat state to enable the warehouse to maintain inventory in bulk within tight racking configurations, with the ability to convert the cartons as per the hourly dispatch plan.
